Onyx

Onyx has been a force in the Naarm underground queer club scene since 2017. Drawing inspiration from their jazz drumming roots and years of committed club rattery, their love for piano grooves, powerful vocals and complex rhythms infuses every set with a dramatic, raw and soul-stirring intensity. 

Onyx collects Chicago, Disco, UKG, Funk, Hardgroove and a healthy amount of Jazz. Recently, they’ve brought their sound to iconic festival stages such as Dark Mofo: Night Mass Exstasia and the 2024 Mardi Gras Party at Hordern Pavilion, continuing to inspire and connect through the transformative power of house music.
